OfficeLink for Office X

In early January, 2007, Microsoft made available a Universal Binary update for its Office X product. If you had installed AccountEdge 8 or AccountEdge Network Edition 8 after installing the Office X update, you will find that our installer loaded the OfficeLink driver for Office 2004, because it does not recognize the Microsoft Office version from the January Office update. The result will be that Excel will open when you launch OfficeLink from MYOB, but the data from your company file will not populate the reports in Excel.

You can resolve this problem in two ways.

If you have an earlier version of OfficeLink from a Previous AccountEdge or AccountEdge NE installation, like Account Edge 2006, copy the OfficeLink Processor from the previous version’s OfficeLink folder into the OfficeLink Folder in AccountEdge 2008/AccountEdge Network Edition 2008. When prompted to replace the driver, select ‘yes’.

Download the OfficeLink driver for Office X. Once downloaded, drag and drop the new processor into the OfficeLink folder within your AccountEdge 8 or AccountEdge NE 8 folder. Click 'yes' to replace the existing processor. When you've replaced the processor with this new one, click on OfficeLink Processor within the OfficeLink folder and add .app to the name. It will not appear after you type it, but it is necessary for running the OfficeLink Processor for Office X successfully.
