Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility Update (Windows XP)

The following Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility Update is for customers running Windows XP and MYOB Premier Accounting 2007 and has several steps. It is highly recommended that you print these instructions and follow each step.

  1. As a precaution, backup all of your Premier Accounting 2007 data including company file and customized forms and templates by using the BACKUP feature from the FILE menu in Premier 2007. Be sure to choose BACKUP ALL DATA.
  2. Exit out of both Premier Accounting 2007 and any open Microsoft Office applications.
  3. Open the disk image and move the file named "OfficeLink Processor" to your OfficeLink folder located in the MYOB AccountEdge folder. This file must reside in the OfficeLink folder.
  4. Download the Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility update by clicking the DOWNLOAD button below and choosing to save the installer to your desktop.
  5. Go to your CONTROL PANEL and choose the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS option. Select the MYOB ODBC Direct v7 option and click on the CHANGE/REMOVE button to the right, following the prompts to completely remove MYOB ODBC v7 from your system.
  6. Now run the Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility update you’ve downloaded to your desktop in Step 3. This update will install a new version of MYOB ODBC v7 as well as updated OfficeLink components.
