MYOB Strengthens Focus on the Mac
posted on June 25, 2007, by EdJune 25, 2007 (MELBOURNE, Australia) - Global business solutions provider, MYOB, has strengthened its focus on the Mac platform with the appointment of Todd Salkovitz to the newly created position of Product Manager – Mac Products.
MYOB has been committed to the development of small business solutions on the Mac platform for almost 18 years, having won many awards for design quality.
"Since 1989 we've been continually committed to the Mac, and now we're putting even more energy into developing our Mac products," said David Lowe, MYOB's Group Manager, Product Management.
In 2000, MYOB was among the first worldwide to release products for Mac OS X ahead of many others including Microsoft and FileMaker and continues to embrace Mac OS X with the release of Universal Binary products in the US, UK and later this year will launch in Australia and New Zealand as well.
"We have a dedicated Mac development team working on how we can utilize new Mac OS technologies to provide more innovative products for the growing number of small businesses choosing Macs," said David.
Todd Salkovitz comes to the role with a wealth of experience both with MYOB and with Macs. He worked with MYOB US from 1995-2005 as Partner Relations Manager, and joined Acclivity (MYOB's US distributor) in 2005 as a Product Evangelist.
Todd has experience on a wide range of different products and ran his own business for many years, helping business owners to computerise their daily operations. Todd has been a Mac user since 1985 and has been an active member of the Macintosh Business Users Society of Greater Philadelphia for many years.
